Country of Origin: Italy

Piedmont, in the foothills of the Alps in the north west of Italy, is home to the country’s finest full-bodied red wines. The greatest wines are made from the extremely long lived Nebbiolo. Barbera, however, is the most widely planted and popular variety due to its fruit-driven expressiveness and youthful approachability.

Tasting Notes:

Bright brick red in colour  with crimson highlights. The nose is expressive and inviting with aromas of fresh red fruits overlaid by notes of dried herbs, forest undergrowth and aniseed. The palate is medium bodied and well balanced with a by core of cherry and red berried flavours wrapped in spice, alpine herbs and  savoury notes. Impressively complex and well structured whilst very approachable. A wonderful companion to food of almost any kind.

Region: Piedmont
Vineyards:  Sourced from younger vineyards within the area of production of the villages of Barbaresco and Barolo given the Langhe Appellation.
Elevation:  300m to 400m
Grape Variety: 75% Barbera 35% Nebbiolo
Winemaker: Danilo Droco
Closure: Screwcap
Alcohol: 13.5%
